A duo of, Gris Gris our beer/wine hybrid made in collaboration with Tillingham wines (7%) and Blackhorse Brett (9.5%)
Gris Gris -We brewed a pale ale at 7% and fermented with a Clean ale yeast on Pino Grigio whole bunch skins and stalks from Tillingham wines. The result is a complex aroma of hedgerow, melon rind, bramble and fruit compote. The natural yeast essence from the skins give hints of clove and banana, it starts with sweet malt but finishes medium dry it’s somewhere between natural orange wine and a Trappist ale.
Blackhorse Brett- This is an imperial stout brewed with cacao and pandan leaves. Fermented with wild Brettanomyces and then aged on black cedar wood. With hits of roasted coffee and chocolate, parma violet and farmyard funk from the yeast. Hints of leather and tobacco from the cedar wood and a dry lasting tanic finish, This is a robust and complex beer, aged for 2 years. Limited edition just 200 bottle available.
